Alumni

  • Ben Palmer

I started at Wendy’s when I was 10 years old taking Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern. I’m currently playing the leading role of Munkustrap in the UK Tour of Cats. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Wendy’s passion and drive to get the best out of all of her students!

  • Morvah Cull

I began taking ballet and modern classes with Wendy at GCSE level. I have gone on to study at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and gained a first degree at Laban. I then worked as an apprentice with Tempered Body Dance Theatre and am now studying for an MA with MAP dance. Although I am a Contemporary dancer, ballet has been essential skill and I am grateful for the help and support given to me by the school.

  • Jessica Chamberlayne Norgard

The Wendy Whatling School of Dance felt like a home from home for me during my teenage years. The dance, singing and drama lessons are not only extremely high quality and professional in their execution and content, but supportive, caring and understanding. Wendy’s personal and encouraging management of the school is demonstrated by all the staff and reflected in the friendships between students. I loved my time here and have gone on to do a Theatre degree and perform around the country with my band.

  • Ambra Caserotti

I still carry such fun memories of Wendy’s.  Such a supportive and loving atmosphere to try your first pirouette, all surrounded by a lovely group of people.

  • Lauren O’Shea

I danced with Wendy for 7 years, worked in the office and helped teach a few classes. I loved every minute at the school and still go back for a class when I am in the country. I left to go to Australia to work in TV and try to make a casual class at Sydney Dance Company but nothing beats Wendy’s classes!
